In this episode, we welcome each other back, touch on our upcoming YouTubiness, discuss what we’ll do and buy once we ‘get big’, birthdays, ice cream and a whole lot more!
(apologies for the manhandling of the microphone, we got a bit handy in a few places!)

Many apologies for the delay in updates recently, but things have been busy in Porridgeland! Really. But don’t ask why. Really.
In this latest episode, the lads are talking about Frank’s upcoming trip to the United States, including highly anticipated runs to BBQ joints and shopping malls. Before that, we get to talk about this amazing miniatures museum in France, where Frank was recently! Check out the pictures below!
Batracer is an online car racing team management simulation game. That’s a lot of syllables for what is basically a nerdfest game about racing cars.
Anyway, you may have heard of it, maybe you haven’t. It’s one of the more popular race sim games online.
But whatever.
Anyway, we’re proud to say that Digital Porridge is a sponsor of Batracer. If you log in (it’s free) you can see the DP logo and link on the right side:
Eh, pretty cool, huh?
Anyway, if you’re a racing fan (like Frank is) try out Batracer with some friends or join a public game.
Episode 28 brings us back to Skype, because we can’t seem to fashion together a time to actually record face-to-face after our time in Kabul. Maybe it’s because of the
In this episode, we apologize for a sub-optimal episide 27. Also, Mat’s wearing bunny ears while working from home and playing on the guitar, we discuss the war-torn ruins of Detroit, a dog barks at its own echo, Mat gets shouted at by a neighbor, and Frank gets the term ‘rumpy-pumpy’ explained to him. Finally, we talk about how Frank has changed recently. Mainly his Twitter account, but is there more to it than that?
For Episode 27, Mat comes clean! About what? Well, you’ll just have to listen. In the middle of Mat’s dangerous revelation, we have a visit from Listener Paul! We have a massive shout-out to one of our dedicated listeners, then the lads take a road trip to Kabul, of all places. What for? We have no idea. It’s kind of a dangerous place for white people to just pop down to. While there, we discuss prides of gays, goats and chickens on the bus as we drive down the road to Dushanbe, Miami Vice and more, including Captain Lou Albano, the origins of curry and the Darwin Fish.
To make up for Mat’s dreadful mistake, we’ve made this one an extra-long show for your aural elucidations. Forthwith and herein, forevermore indubitably.
In this episode, we discuss the dearth of common sense in the mafia when it comes to not just interpersonal relations but general business sense and maintaining espirit de corps. Then we dive into a TON of listener comments on this here website! There’s a lot of you commenting on the site and we really appreciate it! Then we wrap up proceeding with a discussion about the latest extension of the phenomenon of ‘dogging’: seagulling! Haven’t heard of it? Well, you won’t want to! But we do it anyway.
Here’s a little longer-than-normal show to make up for the recent lapses in timeliness! In Episode 25, the DP boys hop on Skype to get the podcast done, but FRET NOT, dear listeners! Mat has a new laptop with a much-improved cooling system, so there’s no buZZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZ zzzzzzzZZZZzzzZZZZZZZ zzzzZZZZzzzzz any more! The only trouble is there’s a bit of echo in the early part of the show but hey if you made it past Episode 22 – or even heard any part of that show – you’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about.
Anyway, after discussing horses (and the recent Grand National horse race) for some reason, we hip hop right into Mat’s Hip Hop Corner with his tweets of the week from various hip-hop luminaries and wannabes.
Here’s the official 18+ video Mat mentions, ‘All Over the House’ from the UK rapper Skepta. (SERIOUSLY NSFW (NOT SAFE FOR WORK) It’s got lots of boobz in it, YouTube won’t host the actual video as IT’S NSFW it so it’s on another site.
For some video grabs (rather than the full XXXXXX-worthy video – STILL NSFW), chiggity check it below.
(please note we’re really not going to turn into a crappy porn-rap video review show! we have a little more class than that)
Then we attempt to compare the US and UK hip-hop scenes. Which isn’t all that funny so we cut that crap out. This might honestly be the last time we try the US/UK comparisons! But we contrast that with talking about Mat’s really really white children. So it’s all swings and roundabouts, as the Brits say.It just means ‘things have a way of balancing themselves out, old chap, don’t you know’. For more info about the grime music scene, check out the Grimepedia website.
By the way, how do people feel about Cosmic Stapleguns, Furious Masturbation or Baby Pigeons as band names?
And here’s the haiku for Mat’s upcoming semi-regular feature, The Whore Next Door:
The whore is next door Less car spots, streams of strange men This is on Mat’s street
To see the sea shanty video that Mat is upset about, check this out:
And the light/ceiling fan cord pull is autographed and ready for the first person who donates to us and buys use a beer using the link to the left!
At some point in the future we’ll have stickers or decals available to mail to folks who want to decorate their laptops, jalopies, school lockers, skateboards, fedoras, bicycles and other things! So keep an eye out for those.
Welcome to episode 24! We are halfway to #48! Woooo!
In this one, we get started with random porn/shock web sites and a wee bit of talk about US/UK relations. Then we got bogged down in political correctness, talking about gypsies, Cockneys, Native Americans/First Nation people, and more, finishing up with car surfing…something we’re probably not going to be trying anytime soon.
We also have a special song for the Reddit.com website, which was suggested to us by one of our most interactive users, Procrastibaking!
This time we’re in Mat’s kitchen, so that echo you might hear is our melodious voices reflecting off the grand granite countertops, multilevel wooden floors and oak kitchen units of his manor house! We kicked out the servants because Frank gets assaulted by Mat’s Vibrator Revenge Bag (Frank is working on his revenge), and we talk about Mat’s taint (or ‘smelly bridge’), the joys and horrors of new life, the sexual proclivities of The Queen of England, Mat’s Urban Update, speaking in tongues, making music,
Check out the Dubcast podcast here, episode 28 right at the beginning is the one you want to listen to. If you know any Dutch guys, it’s even funnier, seriously.

What is Digital Porridge? We're a couple of guys (one tall Brit - Mat, and one average-height American - Frank) who get together now and then to catch up with what's happened in their lives since the last show. Sometimes it's about which side of the Atlantic is better, and other times it's comparing cherished childhood memories, but it's nearly always painful and rude.
Entertaining! Not offensive at all. I mean, it's a podcast of two blokes talking, right? It is exactly what I expected it would be! ;) - a listener on Twitter
Really funny podcast guys! I'll try and spread your fame around Canada! - a Canuckian listener on Facebook
You cunts. - a slightly less-satisfied listener
Frank and Mat(t) are insanely funny and creative - a more well-adjusted fan
I shall spread word of you all over the lands, like herpes in a scouse playground.- a...Liverpudlian listener?
All your stuff is hilarious. DP is so damn funny. It makes me rage slightly less about humanity. - a happy listener, from Twitter

Episode 26: What the hell is 'seagulling'?
In this episode, we discuss the dearth of common sense in the mafia when it comes to not just interpersonal relations but general business sense and maintaining espirit de corps.
